Everything you weren’t supposed to do as a kid
Croyde Bay coasteering combines sea swimming, rocky traverses, cave exploration and optional jumps into one unforgettable North Devon adventure.
Instead of looking out from the coast path, you will move through the place where the rocks meet the sea. Scramble, climb and swim around the coastline as your instructor guides you through gullies, caves and hidden corners that cannot be experienced from land.
Every session is shaped around the group in front of us. Nervous first-timer? We build confidence at your pace. Looking for a bigger challenge? Baggy Point has exciting options for thrill-seekers too. You choose the jumps—and every jump is optional.

This is where you will meet your instructor, complete the session checks and get ready for the adventure. A Croyde Bay coasteering session lasts approximately 2½ hours, giving you plenty of time to explore the coastline and take on a varied range of challenges.
All specialist coasteering equipment is provided. Bring a swimsuit, a towel and a pair of old trainers that you do not mind getting wet. Changing rooms and showers are available to use on request before or after your session.

A natural coastal playground
Gullies, caves, hidden smugglers’ coves and distinctive rock formations make every route feel like a genuine coastal journey.
Baggy Point offers challenges and optional jumps for different ages, abilities and confidence levels. Whether you want to start small or work towards something more exhilarating, your qualified and experienced instructor will guide you safely throughout.
From the sea, North Devon opens up from a completely different perspective: dramatic cliffs, secluded caves and coastal views that cannot be reached from the land.
The Bristol Channel has one of the world’s largest tidal ranges, so the coastline and sea conditions are always changing. Session times therefore revolve around the tides, allowing the team to choose the best conditions while keeping safety, fun and exploration at the heart of the experience.
Owned by the National Trust, Baggy Point combines dramatic geology, varied terrain, wildlife and outstanding coastal scenery—an extraordinary setting for coasteering at Croyde Bay.
